Women and Public Art Self-Guided Tour

March 31 - April 30

Free
Map shows locations of public art created or inspired by women

Check out the interactive map and take the Women and Public Art Self-Guided Tour to see a sampling of Philadelphia public artworks that were created by women artists or inspired by women. The tour is a new offering from the Association for Public Art (aPA), the nation’s first private, nonprofit civic organization dedicated to creating a “museum without walls” by integrating public art and urban design.

If you can’t view the art in person, click around the interactive map on the website to get comprehensive information and photos for each piece of art. If you want a quick online visual tour, the website also has a gallery of photos showing the art on this tour.

Philadelphia is home to one of the largest collections of public art in the country and aPA has created multiple self-guided public art tours grouped by location. A map on the website shows whether a tour is bicycle friendly, walking friendly, or both.
